Schneidmann Introduction Preparations are currently underway in the Palestinian Authority (PA) for elections to the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) and to the presidency, scheduled for May 22, 2021 and July 31, 2021, respectively.[1] In previous PA elections – i.e., in the PLC elections of 1996 and 2006, and in the presidential elections of 2005 –  residents of East Jerusalem were allowed to vote in the city, at polling stations set up in Israeli post offices, in accordance with Article 6 of Annex 2 of the 1995 Interim Agreement between Israel and the PLO.

The result, however, will not be an endorsement of democracy, but will rather highlight the terrorist nature of the P.A.
