Biden Jokes About Running Over Reporter In F-150 Truck When Asked About Israel
President Joe Biden darkly joked to a reporter Tuesday that he would have to run her over in the truck he was driving in order for her to ask a question about Israel.
“Can I ask you a quick question on Israel before you drive away since it’s so important?” The reporter asked Biden while he was stopped for a moment in a Ford F-150 he was test-driving in Dearborn, Michigan, the location of Ford’s Rouge Electric Vehicle Test Site.
“No, you can’t, not unless you get in front of the car as I step on it … I’m only teasing,” the president responded.

The Israel-Palestine region is located at the eastern shore of the Mediterranean sea. It comprises modern Israel and the Palestinian territories of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank bordering Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, and the Mediterranean. The territory has historically remained important for the great powers; from the Romans, Muslims, to the British. For a Mediterranean power, the land serves as a strategic land bridge to the eastern half and for an Eastern power, the land is important to control its flank in the Mediterranean hosting estuaries of many important rivers and waterways connecting Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Ships use the Suez Canal to sail between the Mediterranean and Red Sea.

On May 17, the Israeli government Twitter account followed up with another tweet saying the slogan “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” is a “phrase used by those who call for the elimination of Israel.”
