PALESTINE supporters picketed the offices of Gunn JCB today over JCB’s role in the destruction of Palestinian communities.
Gunn JCB boasts that it is “one of the largest and most successful dealers” of JCB construction equipment in the world.
JCB products have been used by the Israeli military to demolish Palestinian homes and communities, as well by those illegally building Israeli settlements in the occupied territories.
Manchester Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) activists demonstrated at Gunn JCB’s offices in Altrincham, Greater Manchester.
Manchester PSC activist Owen Cooper said: “We went into the building and handed in a letter asking Gunn JCB to put pressure on JCB to stop supplying Israel.

Undercover police officers collected and disseminated a “substantial volume of personal information” about left-wing activists, including women they deceived into intimate sexual relationships, in surveillance that was “clearly disproportionate and inappropriate”, a public inquiry has heard.

CAMPAIGNERS have praised a committment by London Mayor Sadiq Khan to kick the world’s largest arms fair out of the capital.
The pledge, made in the mayor’s manifesto for the May 6 election, follows pressure from thousands of campaigners who emailed London mayoral candidates to demand that they oppose the Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEI) fair.
Mr Khan said he will “explore all possible options to end it being hosted in the city,” while Green mayoral candidate Sian Berry has also vowed to prevent the event from returning.
The mayor’s committment backs up his calls in 2017 and 2019 for organisers to move the event out of the capital.
LONDON: Palestine has said its relations with Britain have reached a “new low” after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced his opposition to an International Criminal Court (ICC) investigation into alleged war crimes in the Israeli-occupied territories.
In a letter to the lobby group Conservative Friends of Israel, Johnson said his government had “respect (for) the independence” of the ICC but opposed the inquiry.
“This investigation gives the impression of being a partial and prejudicial attack on a friend and ally of the UK’s,” he wrote.
In a statement posted on its website, the Palestinian diplomatic mission in Britain said Johnson’s letter was “deeply regrettable” and “marks a low point in UK-Palestine relations and undermines the UK’s credibility on the international stage.”
