Sepulveda, who is running for Bronx borough president, turned himself in at the 48th Precinct on Tuesday and is awaiting arraignment, police sources said.
The attack happened at a hotel in Long Island City.
Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins said Sepulveda was removed as chair of the state Senate s Crime Victims, Crime and Correction Committee. and from his committee assignments.
