As a member of the Project Operations and Management team and the company-wide Operations Team:
Serves as a point of contact for all operations tasks on the L&LD and TA&Eval teams
Ensures the L&LD and TA&Eval teams and its headquarters-based and field-based projects properly follow all company and team administrative procedures
Supports project activities and strategic company initiatives, including project startup, ongoing project operations, and management, project close-out, and executing large-scale multi-sectoral events
For field projects: Backstops operations-related field team tasks and ensures field team access to relevant documents relevant for their operational tasks

Specific responsibilities
Ensure that adequate financial management routines and systems are in place, and that NRC’s accounting practices and standards are adhered to, timely and in accordance with quality and policy requirements from NRC, donors, auditors and authorities.
Maintain overall budget control and monitor cash flows and expenditures.
Provide uptodate analysis and required reports of the financial situation in the projects and the programme to the Country Director, the Programme Managers, Project Coordinators and the headquarters (HQ) in Oslo.

Role and responsibilities
The WASH Specialist will provide technical oversight and strategic direction to Country and Area offices to further the development of the WASH Core Competency (CC). The Specialist will provide quality assurance for all projects, develop a collaborative country strategy, capacity build staff through mentoring and training to increase the technical capacity of the staff, and develop a donor strategy to further grow the program.

- Manages and monitors all touchpoints of the project plan including responsibility for scheduling, managing project financials, and providing input and justification for costs and budget impact
- Monitors and handles the overall project performance (timeline, budget, and resource utilization) against the plan and makes adjustments as needed when issues are identified and require resolution
- Coordinates team activities to ensure project milestones are achieved, providing performance feedback to team members supervisors as appropriate
