Governor Lamont Nominates 15 Connecticut Residents To Fill Vacancies on the Superior Court Written by Office of the Governor.
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he is nominating 15 jurists to fill vacancies as judges on the Connecticut Superior Court.
This is the first class of Superior Court nominations made by Governor Lamont, who took office in January 2019. The most recent class was approved in 2018 under the prior administration. State statutes authorize 185 judges on that court, and 50 of those positions are currently vacant.

Wyoming U.S. Attorney Mark Klaassen Announces Resignation
Klaassen will be taking an unidentified post with the State of Wyoming. It was an honor to serve the people of Wyoming in this role,” he said in the news release. CASPER, Wyo. Wyoming’s United States Attorney Mark A. Klaasen announced on Wednesday that he will be resigning from the U.S. Attorney’s Office effective at midnight Jan. 31, 2021.
“Upon his resignation, Klaassen will be taking a post with the State of Wyoming,” the announcement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Wyoming said.
Klaassen was nominated to serve as U.S. Attorney for the District of Wyoming by President Donald Trump in July 2017. He was confirmed by the Senate on Nov. 9 and sworn-in on Nov. 21, 2017.
