John H. Durham, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, and David Sundberg, Special Agent in Charge of the New Haven Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, today announced that ROBERT MARLIN SELLERS, 60, of Bristol, has been charged by federal criminal complaint with child exploitation offenses related to his attempt to engage in commercial sex with a minor.

Sellers appeared today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert A. Richardson via videoconference. He has been detained since his arrest on related state charges on February 4, 2021.
As alleged in court documents, law enforcement launched an investigation in late 2020 after receiving information that Sellers was sharing videos of child sex abuse on a website that is focused on incest. NEW HAVEN â A former school bus driver was sentenced in federal court on Wednesday to 19 years in prison for enticing sex from a 13-year-old girl who was a passenger on his Wallingford route and then trying to have her murdered.
U.S. District Court Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer sentenced Jose Manuel Santos, 38, of Bridgeport to an additional seven years of supervised release, U.S. Attorney John H. Dunham said in a statement.

WALLINGFORD, CT A former bus driver has been sentenced to 19 years in federal prison for trying to sexually entice a 13-year-old girl who was a passenger on his route in Wallingford, according to authorities.
Jose Manuel Santos, 38, of Bridgeport, was also accused of planning to have the victim killed to prevent her from testifying against him, authorities said.
Santos was also sentenced Wednesday to seven years of supervised release following the prison term, U.S. Attorney for Connecticut John H. Durham announced.

Santos worked for Curtin Livery as a bus/van driver in Connecticut with responsibilities that included transporting children going to and from a middle school in Wallingford, according to authorities.

The U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut announced Wednesday that a Bridgeport man was sentenced to 19 years in federal prison for enticing a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity, and for obstructing justice by attempting to have the minor victim murdered.
According to a release, 38-year-old Jose Santos was a bus/van driver who transported children to and from a Wallingford middle school.
Santos was arrested in November of 2018, a month after officials were notified that he was sexually soliciting a 13-year-old girl who was a passenger on his route.
During an investigation, police located over 200 text messages or calls between Santos and the 13-year-old on her phone.
