When Ed Shada walks around the former Dana College campus, greeting new residents at seemingly every turn, you d never know the grounds sat vacant for nearly a decade. There s a lot of opportunities we re exploring, and it s all geared toward the youth, Shada said. Shada and his non-profit Angels Share are leading redevelopment at the campus. The former owner Frank Krejci donated the land to this cause. Each one of the buildings up here on campus, we ve got sort of a determination as to what it could be utilized as, Shada said. Renamed the Blair Tech Campus, the grounds here are now providing housing to at-risk youth, like those aging out of foster care or nearing homelessness. Shada said eight young people already live in apartments on campus, and there will eventually be more than 70 units.
