BRATTLEBORO â Superintendent Andy Skarzynski is impressed by all the support of schools heâs seen by way of donations and labor.
âThe local and state support has been incredible and something about which we should all be very proud,â Superintendent Andy Skarzynski said in an email to the Reformer.
Skarzynski, who officially started as superintendent in July, provided a list of recent donations compiled by schools in the Windham Southeast Supervisory Union. Many of the items are specific to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has prompted more outdoor programming and a need for masks to protect against spreading the virus.

BRATTLEBORO â Brattleboroâs Last Night Committee is promising a fun-filled and substance-free day of celebration for all ages on New Yearâs Eve Thursday, Dec. 31.
This yearâs theme is Vermont Households Only â recreate as a family (same household) to keep the community safe. With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, organizers have scaled back Last Night activities and postponed a number of the usual events for this year out of an abundance of caution. COVID-19 protocols, such as masks and social distancing, will be required at all events.
This year, the day will kick off with free snowshoeing and cross country skiing at the Brattleboro Outing Club from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring your own equipment and enjoy the trails on your own or with your own household members.
