⢠At 2.52 p.m., the Windham County Sheriffâs Office arrested Daniel Vaine Jr., 24, of Putney for driving while suspended after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for a traffic violation. He was released on a citation to appear in the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.

Driver accused in wrong-way crash faces felony DUI charges

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) A Massachusetts man accused of driving the wrong way on Interstate 91 and causing a head-on crash that injured five people is now facing four felony drunken driving charges.
Bernard J. McDonald, 65, of Westborough, Massachusetts, was expected be released from Brattleboro Memorial Hospital on Monday and arraigned later in the day, Windham County Deputy State’s Attorney Steven Brown told the Brattleboro Reformer.
McDonald had been arraigned on 15 charges last week. His lawyer pleaded not guilty on his behalf.

He’s now facing two counts of driving under the influence with serious injury resulting and two counts of driving under the influence with his alcohol blood count above the legal limit with injury resulting. His lawyer declined to comment on the charges.
