PHILADELPHIA A Snow Emergency will be declared for the City of Philadelphia beginning at 6 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, February 18, 2021. A Snow Emergency means all parked vehicles must be moved off Snow Emergency routes for plowing. When moving your car, park as far from the corner of the street as possible; vehicles parked too close to the corner get in the way of snowplows trying to turn corners. Snow Emergency information and a map of Snow Emergency routes can be found HERE. Vehicles left on Snow Emergency routes will be moved to other parking spots to assist in snow plowing operations. If your car is moved, call 215-686-SNOW (7669), and press option 4, to find it. Do NOT call 911.

Snow and icy road conditions cause several vehicle crashes in Lancaster County Sunday morning [update]

Multiple crashes were reported along Lancaster County roads Sunday as snow began to cover roadways, according to a supervisor with Lancaster Countywide Communications. At least “eight or nine” different crashes had been reported by 11 a.m., the supervisor said. None of the crashes were causing major traffic disruptions as of late Sunday morning, the supervisor said. At least one person was injured in a crash in Rapho Township on Route 283 West and Route 772 when a pickup truck flipped over, the supervisor said, though the number of people injured and the extent of their injuries was unknown.

Alleged drug dealer charged after raid at Lancaster County home

The Lancaster County Drug Task Force has halted an upper-level dealing operation, according to the district attorney s office.Prosecutors said the task force raided 42-year-old Ryan Saner s home in Providence Township on Dec. 9 following a nearly year-long investigation of suspected trafficking activity.During the search of the home in the 300 block of Lancaster Pike, detectives seized the following: Approximately 17 pounds of marijuana.564 THC vape cartridges.THC-infused chocolate bars, gummy bears, cough syrup, “Nerds rope” candy, wax.64 grams of cocaine (over two ounces).91 grams of MDMA (over three ounces).About eight ounces of psychedelic mushrooms.$91,670 cash.Numerous firearms were also discovered, investigators said.The district attorney s office said Saner is charged with five felony counts of possession with intent to deliver and a related misdemeanor. He is free on $500,000 unsecured bail.
