On Tuesday, Providence Holy Cross Medical Center received the “Healthgrades 2021 America’s 50 Best Hospitals Award” for the second year in a row.
The recognition places the Mission Hills hospital in the top one percent of the 4,500 hospitals assessed nationwide by Healthgrades, the leading resource in connecting consumers to physicians and hospitals that reviews hositial performances nationwide each year.
“I couldn’t be prouder of our physicians and caregivers who stood strong in the worst health crisis imaginable and continued to provide top quality care to our patients and their families as the pandemic raged in our community,” said Dr. Bernard Klein, chief executive of Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana, in a statement Tuesday. “The excellence, compassion and dignity provided as our numbers soared tested them and our quality never faltered.”

(Bloomberg) The daily number of new coronavirus cases in the U.S. was under 100,000 for a third consecutive day on Tuesday, the first time that’s happened since the week of Nov. 2. New York’s large venues and stadiums can start reopening Feb. 23 with testing requirements and capacity limits.
