The OHA released the following information about the 54 people whose deaths were reported Tuesday:
Oregon’s 1,161st COVID-19 death is a 76-year-old woman in Hood River County who tested positive on Dec. 1 and died on Dec. 13 at her residence. She had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 1,162nd COVID-19 death is a 71-year-old woman in Washington County who died on Nov. 24 at her residence. The death certificate listed COVID-19 disease or SARS-CoV-2 as a cause of death or a significant condition contributing to death. She had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 1,163rd COVID-19 death is a 96-year-old woman in Washington County died on Dec. 7 at her residence. The death certificate listed COVID-19 disease or SARS-CoV-2 as a cause of death or a significant condition contributing to death. She had underlying conditions.

Oregon has 54 COVID-19 related deaths on Tuesday which is a new daily record. The Oregon Health Authority reported 1,129 new cases.
Since the pandemic began, there have been 1,214 deaths and 96,092 confirmed cases. Today’s record-high death toll tragically reminds us that the pandemic is far from over despite the arrival of vaccines in Oregon, said Patrick Allen, director of the Oregon Health Authority. These Oregonians and the ones who passed before them were loved ones who will be dearly missed by their families, for whom we express our sincerest condolences.”
