Subscriber only A man who was found rolling around on the grass drinking from a goon bag after driving his car off the road was busted more than seven times over the legal blood alcohol limit. David John Linneweber pleaded guilty in Proserpine Magistrates Court on Monday to drink-driving and careless driving. On April 22 last year, Linneweber crashed his car on Kelsey Creek Rd. Police prosecutor Senior Sergeant Sean Franklin said the 40 year old drove off the road through a table drain and across 100m of grass. He said Linneweber attempted to steer his car back onto the road but got bogged.

Subscriber only Dropping a friend at work after a night of drinking has left a Kelsey Creek teenager without a licence. Shakane Anthony Gorden Costello pleaded guilty in Proserpine Magistrates Court on Monday to drink driving while on a provisional licence. Police prosecutor Senior Sergeant Sean Franklin said police received a call about a car driving erratically near Bunnings on December 11 last year. When officers arrived, they found Costello behind the wheel. The 18 year old said he was dropping his friend off at work and admitted to having several drinks the night before.
