QPR supports Prostate Cancer UK match day

QPR supports Prostate Cancer UK match day Share article: QPR are hosting a match day in our game against Derby County this weekend to support charity partner Prostate Cancer UK’s bid to stop prostate cancer being a killer. The leading men’s health charity are asking you to text HOOPS to 70004 to donate £5 to support them in their fight against prostate cancer, which is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK. Most men with early prostate cancer don’t have any symptoms, which is why Prostate Cancer UK is encouraging men most at risk to speak to their GP. This includes men over 50, while black men and those with a family history of the disease should consider speaking to their doctor earlier, from the age of 45.

Worryingly many have attributed a type of plastic which could increase a person’s risk of developing the deadly disease. Bisphenol A, or BPA, is a common building block in resins and some types of plastic and is said to increase a person’s risk of prostate cancer.
