A 87-year-old woman is fighting for life after she was struck by a vehicle on Brisbane’s bayside.
Police say the woman was hit by a silver Honda Jazz while crossing Tingal Road at Wynnum just after 1.30pm on Sunday.
The Capalaba woman was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
The driver, a 30-year-old local man, was not injured.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed, or have footage of, the crash to come forward.
The federal defence minister says there is no need for panic about the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines, as Australia is not in the same state of "mad panic" as the US and the UK to get it done.
