Earlier this month, Carnival Corporation’s CEO Arnold Donald said the company has already accelerated the retirement of 19 less-efficient cruise ships, with 15 of them having already left the fleet. This was largely due to the worldwide health crisis and its impact on the cruise industry.

Pacific Princess joined the Princess fleet in 2002, but originally entered service in 1999 for Renaissance Cruises as
R3. The boutique-style ship offered an intimate cruising experience, holding just 670 passengers. Though it was small, the vessel incorporated many of the dining and entertainment options that were found on the cruise line’s larger ships.
