(Photo: Gillian Taylor) Even though the event was pushed to a virtual format, the County Marathon was still able to raise a couple of thousand dollars for the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation. Marathon Committee Chair Mark Henry presented a $2,500 cheque to the foundation on Wednesday. The money was collected from participants who had already donated, prior to the event being changed because of the pandemic. The County Marathon Committee says it is hoping the 2021 race, on October 3, will go ahead as planned and that they’ll be able to raise far more for the hospital foundation next year.
