Local beaches safe for swimming

Goods news for residents in Quinte who are planning to head to the beach tomorrow! Hastings Prince Edward Public Health says that all local beaches are safe for swimming. Staff have just released the new beach report today. Outside of our area, Cobourg Beach will be closed on Canada Day tomorrow. The beach will be back open on Friday. Staff at local provincial parks in Quinte are in for a busy weekend, as we all ride out this heat wave. This year, you have to reserve a day-use pass. CAPACITY UPDATE:

Thirty percent of local residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Quinte continues to hold strong in the fight against COVID-19. Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting no new cases today, and no recoveries. There is only one active case of the virus between the two counties. Roughly 75 per cent of local residents age 12 and older have received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Thirty per cent are fully vaccinated.
