A person at Queen Elizabeth School has tested positive for COVID-19. Hastings Prince Edward Public Health says the risk to the community is low and the school will remain open, as the virus was not contracted at the school.
The Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board is working with the health unit, to identify close contacts of the person who tested positive. Residents in Hastings and Prince Edward counties continue to see a rise in COVID-19 cases.
Public Health is reporting 12 new cases and five recoveries today. The total number of active cases in the region is now at 54.
Hasting Prince Edward District School Board announced a third case of the virus connected to the community.
