On March 13, 2020, the Prince George’s County Police Department received a Cyber Tip from The Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding a potential image of child pornography. The tip was regarding an incident that occurred on January 24, 2020, where an image was shared over the internet.
Police viewed the image and described it as an image of an adult male having sex with a pre-pubescent female.
PG County Police sent a subpoena request to the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office on August 25, 2020 for the subscriber information for the device address provided by The Center for Missing and Exploited Children. On September 4, 2020, a response was received from Verizon that Indicated that on January 24, 2020 a device used to access the image was registered to John Larsen at a residence in Waldorf. The device had a username and e-mail address of larsen.john@pbgc.gov.
The ruling chastised Prince George’s, calling the county’s attempt to block the records by citing the pending litigation “wrong and arguably disingenuous.”

PRINCE GEORGE S COUNTY, MD After months of Black Lives Matter protests and the death of an unarmed man, Prince George s County announced sweeping police reform. The new policies will make police records more public, increase officer oversight and emphasize community engagement. County Executive Angela Alsobrooks announced the changes at a Friday afternoon press conference.
Her overhaul started in July of 2020, when she created the Police Reform Work Group. The task force responded to protesters calling for social justice after George Floyd, a Black man, died while a Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck last May.
Little said her 16-year-old son was taken out of the home.
“They were messing him up right here; they were messing him up,” Little said. “They had his feet, they had his back, his elbows. They were tearing him up right here.”
An Amazon truck and another car had been stolen, police said. Officers took the men to one of the carjacking victims, who said they weren’t the right people.
All of the men arrested outside the apartment building were released.
An officer is being investigated for use of force by the Prince George’s County Police Department s internal affairs unit after a complaint was filed, police said.
