Funding Granted for New Religion Syllabus in England Wednesday, April 21st, 2021 The Religious Education Council of England and Wales has just been granted 150,000 pounds to develop a new syllabus for religion classes in schools. The new curriculum will include other non-religious world views such as ‘humanism’. The Curriculum and Assessment Bill which recently passed, will change the term “religious education” to “religion, values and ethics”. Thousands of pounds of funding for a new syllabus, has been provided by the Templeton World Charity Foundation – an organisation which says its mission is to fund “research on what it means to be human.”

Thursday, April 15th, 2021 A church leader in the UK has revealed, Prince Philip encouraged the Queen to talk more about her Christian faith in her Christmas broadcasts. Rev. Professor Ian Bradley told Premier Christian News, Prince Philip really encouraged the Queen to talk about her own faith in the broadcasts. Since the year 2000 the Queen has spoken very movingly about her own Christian faith. The Duke explained that prior to this, the presentation was more like a travelogue of where the family had been. Mr Bradley who was a visiting preacher for the Queen and Duke, described Prince Philip as having a wonderful knowledge of the Bible and a deep interest in theology.
