Liverpool have announced pre-tax losses of £46million for the financial year ending on May 31, 2020.
The Reds also revealed their overall revenue for the period stood at £490m - down £43m on the previous year. Understandably the club's matchday revenue took a hit of £13m due to having four home matches take place without the presence of fans, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. Media revenue also fell by £59m with a club statement attributing the drop to the Premier League season finishing later than had been expected in July, which fell outside of the financial year.

Liverpool plan to hold contract talks sooner rather than later with Mohamed Salah and three other star players, according to a report.
Jurgen Klopp has built a Champions League and Premier League-winning team since his 2015 arrival. While he has kept some players from before his time, several signings have proved crucial. Indeed, winger Salah has 120 goals in 193 Reds games and has become their record Champions League goalscorer.
Therefore,
Liverpool have made priorities for talks over new a new contract.

Of course, that Buttner even ended up at Old Trafford was surprising.
Buttner was due to join newly promoted Southampton in the summer of 2012 but when that deal fell through, United signed him as cover for the ageing Patrice Evra.
However, his £4 million ($5.5m) switch from Vitesse even came as a shock to United’s own scouts. Ed van Stijn, who headed up the Red Devils' recruitment department in the Netherlands, was particularly astounded, as he didn't think Buttner was close to being the best left-back in the Eredivisie.
