David Spunt reports from the White House and Dr. Mark Seigel reacts to Texas democrats testing positive for the coronavirus
Republicans in Travis County, Texas are blasting the dozens of Democrats who fled their state earlier this week and flew to Washington, D.C. to avoid voting on an election integrity bill. Texas House Democrats engaged in performance theater for weeks claiming Gov. Abbott was putting lives at risk by reopening the state economy and waiving the statewide mask mandate, Travis County GOP Chairman Matt Mackowiak told Fox News. AUSTIN, Texas Friday marks day five of a broken quorum in the Texas House of Democrats, after many members of both the House and the Senate fled to Washington, D.C., on Monday to advocate for federal legislation as voter integrity bills move through the special session.
With a broken quorum, the House cannot do business. And it appears some Republican lawmakers are resorting to desperate measures to attract their Democratic counterparts back to Austin. Desperate times call for desperate measures, tweeted Rep. Briscoe Cain.
