Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has declared that the entire state will soon have Covid-19 testing mobile laboratories across the state. Three mobile testing Laboratories were handed over to Mumbai by Spice Health.
Maharashtra Chief Minister said, “When the corona outbreak started last year, there were only two corona testing laboratories at Kasturba in Pune and Mumbai. The government increased this number to 500 in a few days.Although vaccines are now available yet new strains of corona are appearing in various countries. Research is also underway. In such a time of need, Spice Health has come forward to provide the facility to test Corona at an affordable rate, the test report will be available in a short time, so the general public will definitely bene

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Monday said a decision on the resumption of suburban local train services for all in Mumbai would be taken very soon. A number of options were discussed, including allowing only essential service providers to travel during peak hours from 7am to 9.30am and 4.30pm to 7pm, while allowing the public to commute strictly during non-rush hours.
The government will also suggest that private offices tweak their timings or curtail working hours, to avoid crowding in trains. Thackeray also asked the railway officials to review the Chennai pattern and how it was working.
Impose heavy tax on vacant land parcel: Activist to Maharashtra Government

Impose heavy property tax on vacant lands particularly needed for infrastructure projects, suggested a Mumbai-based Social Activist and Advocate of Bombay High Court Godfrey Pimenta. He has recently written a letter to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Commissioner and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. He said, The state government should amend Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888, to levy heavy property tax on vacant lands particularly needed for Infrastructure projects so as to force the owners of such vacant lands to handover lands for Infrastructure projects than paying heavy property tax on vacant lands. This is particularly in view of current controversy in case of Kanjurmarg land required for Metro depot.
