MUMBAI: Canadian alternative investment major Brookfield Asset Management-backed Brookfield India Real Estate Trust’s Real Estate
Investment Trust (REIT), on Tuesday, listed at Rs 281.70 per unit, up 2.4% against the issue price of Rs 275.
The Rs 3,800-crore public issue priced between Rs 274 and Rs 275 per unit had closed with an overall subscription of eight times on February 5.
In the retail investors’ category, the issue was oversubscribed by nearly 12 times and was oversubscribed by 5 times in institutional investors’ segment.
This is India’s third REIT listing and second in the country during the ongoing pandemic. The proposed issue will be India’s first REIT which is 100% managed by an institution.
Indian markets opened for trade on a firm footing with Nifty scaling 15,400 and Sensex topping 52,500, but it failed to hold on to the momentum in 2nd half of the trading session.

Global investment firm Brookfield s Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) has attracted Rs 1709.97 crore from 39 anchor investors. This was raised at the upper price band of Rs 275 per unit. The firm allocates 62,180,800 units.
The initial public offer (IPO) of Brookfield REIT will open today (on February 3) at a price band of Rs 274 to Rs 275. It will close on February 5.
Some of the 39 investors are HDFC Trustee Company / HDFC Balanced Advantage Fund (16.40 per cent of allocation), SBI Life Insurance Company (13.50 per cent of allocation), Tata AIG General Insurance Company (9.90 per cent of allocation), HDFC Life Insurance Company (8 per cent), Bajaj Holdings and Investments (4.4 per cent), Schroder Global Cities Real Estate (4.20 per cent), HDF
