A former New York State court employee from Queens was found guilty Wednesday of threatening to kill members of Congress.
Brendan Hunt was convicted after three hours of jury deliberations of “threatening to assault and murder a U.S. official” after the week-long trial in Brooklyn Federal Court.
Hunt, 37, testified Tuesday that the social media videos in which he urged people to go back to the Capitol after the Jan. 6 riot and “kill your senators” were made in jest, and that he did not mean any harm.
