(CNSNews.com) – Brooklyn Borough President and former police captain Eric Adams, winner of the Democratic primary for New York City’s mayor race, told CNN’s “New Day” on Wednesday that before he became a police officer, he was “beat and abused by police officers,” so he joined the force and “pushed for reform and change.”
