An image submitted to the Cleveland City Planning Commission shows the entrance to the planned BrewDog restaurant and bar on Scranton Peninsula, in a redeveloped building called the Avian.
Scottish craft brewer BrewDog plans to open an expansive bar and restaurant in the Flats, where the pub will be the first anchor for a much broader planned development on Scranton Peninsula.
A presentation submitted to the Cleveland City Planning Commission shows that BrewDog USA expects to lease 10,410 square feet at the Avian building on Carter Road. The bar will spill out of that space onto surrounding land, with a European-style beer garden and riverfront installations that could include a dog park and a playground or miniature golf feature.

A BrewDog bar location in Indianapolis is under fire after a group of former women and LGBTQ employees claimed they were fired because the bar wanted a “change in culture”.
Four former BrewDog employees have said they were fired by a general manager they had never met before, as part of an allegation that the location had appeared to exclusively fire female or LGBTQ staff members.
“This new general manager who we have never met, don’t even know what he looks like, called us one by one and told us that we were all being fired because they wanted a change in culture,” a former employee told wishtv.com.
