During her presentation at the Annual Conference of Executives (CADE-Executives), the minister noted that this year will be difficult for Peruvians, but vaccination will help gradually stop transmission, in such a way that citizens will experience better living conditions next year. Vaccination is the best cost-benefit strategy to reduce or eliminate diseases, said Mazzetti, adding that all citizens must contribute to achieving herd immunity.
The government official believes that uncertainty surrounding an emergency vaccination is reasonable but insisted that Minsa has acquired vaccines that have been proven safe and effective.

Lebanon Emergency Crisis and COVID-19 Response Social Safety Net Project (ESSN)
1. What is the ESSN Project?
The ESSN is a US$246 million 3-year project that will provide cash transfers and access to social services to extreme poor and vulnerable Lebanese populations affected by the economic and COVID-19 crises. The objective of the ESSN is to arrest the increase in extreme poverty and to preserve the human capital of 13 - 18 years old children enrolled in public schools, through the provision of cash transfers and access to social services. 10:22 | Lima, Dec. 18. The Executive Branch has created a working group to support the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination process in Peru.
According to Ministerial Resolution No. 373-2020-PCM, published in El Peruano official gazette, the aim of the group is to coordinate and articulate efforts aimed at implementing the vaccination for the prevention of COVID-19.
The document provides that the above-mentioned group will be made up of the President of the Council of Ministers or her representative, who presides over it; the head of the Health Ministry (Minsa); as well as ministers or representatives of the following sectors: Defense, Interior, Transport and Communications, Economy and Finance, and Education.
