SANAA, April 1 (Xinhua) Yemen s Houthi rebels said they launched four bomb-laden drones toward Saudi Arabia s capital Riyadh on Thursday, nearly a week after the kingdom offered a cease-fire to the Yemeni militia. The attack hit sensitive targets in Riyadh accurately, Yehya Sarea, Houthi military spokesman, said in a statement aired by the group s al-Masirah TV.
Saudi Arabia has made no comment on the alleged attack yet.
If confirmed, the attack would be the first since Saudi Arabia offered a UN-supervised cease-fire to the Houthis last week, which the Houthis dismissed as nothing new in it.
