RIYADH, March 4 (Xinhua) The Saudi-led coalition involved in a war in Yemen announced on Thursday the interception of a ballistic missile launched by Houthis towards the Saudi Arabian border city of Jazan in the southwest, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Brigadier General Turki Al-Malki, the coalition spokesperson, was quoted as saying that the missile was intercepted by the Royal Saudi Air Force.
He accused the Houthi militia of committing war crimes by targeting civilians and civilian sites.
Earlier on Thursday, the coalition said it intercepted a bomb-laden drone targeting the Saudi border city of Khamis Mushait.

Seventy two members of the Yemeni parliament have sent a memo to President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi asking him to reinforce the army in Marib with soldiers, military equipment and long unpaid salaries to help withstand a fierce Houthi attack, several sources said.
The MPs asked the in-exile president to order the army in the frontlines in other governorates to carry out simultaneous pushes on Houthi sites to alleviate the Houthi military pressure on the city.
Yemenis widely say Hadi’s refrain from saying something about the war in his country and supporting his army is out of his will, and is among many signs of an international conspiracy to the side of Iran.
