FBI warned Rudy Giuliani directly of Russian influence campaign
The Washington Post reported on Thursday night.
Despite the reported warning, which Mr Giuliani denies receiving, the former personal lawyer to President Donald Trump continued on his mission to find damaging information on Trump s 2020 election opponent Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.
He met with Kremlin-tied associates who were attempting to influence the 2020 election, and publicly pushed misleading and unsubstantiated claims that were part of a Russia disinformation campaign.

CNN has not confirmed the report. Sources familiar with the matter confirmed to CNN that the Trump White House was warned that some of the information being passed to Mr Giuliani was from foreign intelligence, and some members of Congress also were warned by FBI counterintelligence.

Twitter permanently banned the former president after he egged on his supporters to storm the Capitol on Jan. 6 in an effort to block Congress from certifying President Joe Biden’s election win.

Twitter says it has no plans to lift the Trump ban, even if he plans runs for election again in 2024.
Facebook also banned Trump, but the social media giant said a committee will recommend whether to reconsider the edict.

Three days after former President Donald Trump was acquitted in a Senate impeachment trial on the allegation that he incited the Capitol riot, the NAACP filed a federal lawsuit against the former Republican president on Tuesday for conspiring with his lawyer and extremist groups to try to prevent the Senate from certifying the results of the presidential election he lost to Joe Biden.
The case against Trump was brought under a provision of the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, which was passed in response to KKK violence and prohibits violence or intimidation meant to prevent Congress or other federal officials from carrying out their constitutional duties.

Update: On Wednesday afternoon, Rudy Giuliani left the hospital in Washington, D.C, where he had been receiving treatment for his novel coronavirus infection. He gave a thumbs-up to reporters and wore a mask. Earlier, he d told a radio station: I feel just about 100 percent right now. I ve got to quarantine for a few more days. Because the way they calculate it . I ve got about three or four more days to make sure it s out of my system.
