But for voters, the most important name is Mr. Biden’s.
The Nov. 3 election was seen as a referendum on President Trump, with the country rejecting another four years.
The special elections in Georgia, though, are shaping up as the first real referendum on Mr. Biden and his agenda and whether this once solid-red state really is now a swing state.
Polls have shown the twin races are tight.
Democrats need to win both seats to hold 50 seats in the Senate and, with incoming Vice President Kamala D. Harris’s tie-breaking vote, claim control of the chamber.
Should either Mr. Perdue or Ms. Loeffler prevail, the GOP would remain in control, with the power to thwart Mr. Biden’s plans, delay nominees and start investigations of the new administration.
Ms. Chase added she believed Mr. Biden “cheated” in the presidential race and insisted it has not ended despite the Electoral College having cemented the Democrat’s victory the day before.
“It’s not over yet,” Ms. Chase added. “So thankful President Trump has a backbone and refuses to concede. President Trump should declare martial law as recommended by General Flynn.”
Mr. Flynn, a retired Army lieutenant general, is among the president’s staunchest defenders who maintain his loss to Mr. Biden was the result of purported fraud. Election officials attest otherwise.
Mr. Flynn, 61, promoted a press release on social media earlier this month urging Mr. Trump to invoke martial law and have the U.S. military conduct a national “re-vote” of the election.

Northwestern University has denounced the “misogynistic views” of a former professor who penned an op-ed arguing that incoming first lady Jill Biden is not a medical doctor and thus should stop being called “Dr.”
“Any chance you might drop the ‘Dr.’ before your name?” Joseph Epstein, a book author, wrote for The Wall Street Journal on Friday. “‘Dr. Jill Biden’ sounds and feels fraudulent, not to say a touch comic.”

The White House accused Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell of hypocrisy on Tuesday for cozying up to an alleged Chinese spy before he led the charge against President Trump on unfounded allegations of collusion with Russia.
“Last week we found out that Democrat Congressman Eric Swalwell was infiltrated by an alleged Chinese spy,” said White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany. “The spy cozied up to Swalwell, raised funds for his 2014 campaign, and even planted an intern in his office, and that relationship continued until the FBI briefed him in 2015.”
A day after President Trump’s stinging defeat in the Supreme Court, Republicans around the country seemed to be having trouble finding the right words.
….. Of 17 Republican attorneys general who had endorsed the case, filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, none agreed to be interviewed by The New York Times. Mr. Paxton, who had issued a statement calling the decision “unfortunate,” did not respond to a request for comment.
The 17 included Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge. Good idea. Because she did allow a local interview with Talk Business and Politics where she again aired her nonsensical justification for her support of the Texas intervention. The less her words get spread around the better if she values preserving any belief in her legal competency.
