Americans Say Teaching Is an Important Job That Most Wouldn’t Want to Do Friday, February 26, 2021 Amid concerns about schools reopening during the COVID-19 pandemic, Americans overwhelmingly consider teaching an important job, but most wouldn’t want to do it. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 68% of American Adults think being a teacher is one of the most important jobs in our country today.
