Roque to undergo medical checkup before deciding on 2022 run

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque (OPS / FILE PHOTO / MANILA BULLETIN) In an interview with Super Radyo DZBB, Roque revealed his plan of undergoing a medical examination to have his health checked. “Ako po ay magpapa-schedule ng thorough physical check-up bago po dumating ang buwan ng Setyembre at para nga po malaman kung ano talaga ang estado natin (I will schedule a thorough physical check-up before the month of September to see what really is my health condition),” he said. He added that he will first see what the result of his check-up would be before making a decision. “Titingnan po muna natin iyan. Ayaw ko na po munang umasa (Let’s see first. I don’t want to get my hopes up),” Roque said.

PH sets travel restrictions on travelers from Malaysia, Thailand until July 31

PIXABAY/ MANILA BULLETIN On Friday, July 23, Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said in a statement that the restrictions will cover travelers with travel history to the two countries within the last 14 days preceding their arrival in the Philippines. The travel ban will start on July 25, 2021, at 12:01 a.m. until July 31, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. Passengers already in transit from Malaysia and Thailand, and all those who have been there within 14 days before July 25, may still be allowed to enter the country but will be required to undergo a full 14-day facility quarantine, notwithstanding a negative Reverse Transcription – Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) result.
