Malami, in an interview with Channels Television on Wednesday, had likened the southern governors’ resolution at its recent meeting in Asaba, Delta State, to ban open grazing to prohibiting spare parts trading in the north. South-east Govs Ask for Six Months to Resolve Youth Grievances

Deji Elumoye in Abuja The South-east governors will soon engage the federal government over the issue of marginalisation which has pitted the restive youths in the geo-political zone against the state governments, Chairman of the South-east Governors’ Forum and Ebonyi State Governor, Mr. Dave Umahi, has said. Umahi assured the agitating youth in the zone that all their grievances will be looked into with a view to resolving them within six months. The governor, who spoke yesterday at the Presidential Press Briefing organised by the Presidential Communications Team at the State House, Abuja told the South-east youth who are bitter over the region’s marginalisation to give the state governors six months to dialogue with the federal government with a view to resolving their grievances.

Governor David Umahi and President Muhammadu Buhari EBONYI State Governor, Dave Umahi, on Thursday assured angry youths that the South-East governors would join their agitation if the reasons for such protest were not addressed after six months. Umahi gave this assurance while participating in the Presidential Ministerial briefing organised by the Presidential Communications Team at the presidential villa, Abuja. He, however, requested that youths against the region’s marginalisation should forward their grievances. The governor urged them to grant their governors six months to discuss with the Federal Government.
