The Interim Administrator (IA) of Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) rtd Col. Milland Dikio says the era of violence and arms struggle in the Niger Delta region is over.
Dikio made this known on the graduation of 200 delegates of PAP at in Bradama International Skill Works Ltd., Agadagba-Obon in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State on Sunday.
This according to him has “given way to new ideas in intellectual space, driven by science and technology to advance speedy development and growth of the people. x
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the trainees completed a six -month intensive classroom and workshop trainings in Welding/Fabricating, Abrasive Blasting, Mechanical Fittings, Industrial Painting and Scaffolding/Rigging under the 2019/2020 PAP Delegates Training Programme.

Minister of State for Petroleum, Chief Timipre Sylva, has sued for sustainable peace in Niger Delta, saying the quest to have multinational oil companies relocate their operational headquarters to the region cannot be achieved in an atmosphere of rancour and violence.
Sylva gave the charge, weekend, in Abuja when Niger Delta Nonviolence Agitators Forum, NDNAF, invested him as its patron and peace ambassador.
People of Niger Delta had for some years been clamouring for multinationals to relocate their headquarters to the region to boost economic activities in the region and douse ethnic tensions.
At the event, Sylva said: “What I must say here is that the essence or core of your organisation is nonviolence and that is the essence of what we want in Nigeria.

The Amnesty boss also called on the National Assembly to help in building the network needed to reposition the Niger Delta as place to live and to do business in Nigeria.
Dikio advised Niger Delta youths to devote their strength and creative energy to technology and and acquisition of digital skills in order to become dominant forces in the world.
Dikio said that violence should not in any way be associated with the Niger Delta at this point.
