ABU DHABI, 14th March, 2021 (WAM) His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, received this afternoon at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and his accompanying delegation.
Also present during the meeting was H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the guest, expressing his confidence that the visit will yield a positive result on various levels, especially in the field of trade exchange, joint investment, food security, clean energy and other areas, which will benefit the two friendly countries and peoples.

President Dr. Mokgweetsi Masisi’s insatiable appetite for acquisition of land all over the country and his interest to get Banyana farms and a tourism concession is not only unethical, but also exposes the country to state capture.
As if that was not enough, President Masisi has registered many companies after he assumed office. Member of Parliament for Selibe-Phikwe West, Dithapelo Keorapetse argued that all these are hallmarks of “state capture”. Keorapetse said the President’s privileges give him an unfair advantage over everyone. “The president has executive powers to govern, he gets intelligence briefs including on the economy and business opportunities, he is a regulator of businesses and can punish businesses which are wayward,” Keorapetse said, adding that conflict of interest cannot be avoided.

Dr Al Jaber said the UAE s industrial sector provided an advanced infrastructure and a flexible legislative framework to the defence sector, supporting innovation and increased productivity.
He said the ministry seeks to establish a framework for the sustainable development of the industrial sector, reduce its reliance on imports, and build an integrated national industry ecosystem based on the adoption of advanced technology and Fourth Industrial Revolution solutions . The UAE Armed Forces signed deals worth $5.7 billion at Idex, Abu Dhabi s biennial international defence exhibition, in February. Out of 86 deals signed by the UAE Armed Forces, 53 of them, worth $2.9bn, were signed with local defence companies.
