What seems to be shocking to a lot of sympathizers and families took place on December 12, 2020 whe the Government of Liberia could not show representation at the funeral and interment of James M. Garresen, a renowned photographer who served the government through the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs for decades.
In reaction to the absence of government officials especially those from the Ministry of State at the funeral, Rev. Father McDonald Freeman, II of the St. Augustine Episcopal Church has said that such a person like Garresen cannot be given respect by the government because he lived a simple live without engaging into acts detrimental to the people of the country.

ABU DHABI,14th December, 2020 (WAM) In a cabinet meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, approved the formation of the National Human Rights Authority that aims to establish the country’s status in persevering human rights on regional and global spheres.
The meeting, which took place in Abu Dhabi’s Qasr Al Watan, involved the adoption of ministerial resolutions and new structures for federal institutions and government councils.

ABU DHABI, 14th December, 2020 (WAM) His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and David Muldrow Beasley, the Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme, reviewed the role played by humanitarian and charity organisations in helping underprivileged nations survive the COVDI-19 pandemic.
This came as Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid met Beasley, today at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
They reviewed the role humanitarian and charity organisations played in helping underprivileged nations survive the COVDI-19 pandemic.
Sheikh Mohammed and Beasley highlighted the difficult conditions poor people worldwide are facing due to the pandemic and the difficulties they are encountering to meet their food and medical supplies and needs, in the presence of Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
Beasley hailed the significant humanitarian role played by the UAE through its charity and humanitarian organisations toward needy populations across the world, particularly third world and African nations without discrimination.
He highlighted the major humanitarian missions carried out by Dubai’s International Humanitarian City in providing essential food supplies through airlifts and land bridges despite the tough transportation and traffic conditions caused by the current health crisis.
