The real estate sector stepped out of its traditional ways in 2020 to launch projects and sign rental agreements virtually, sell homes online, and redesign workspaces to make them as touch-free as possible.
Real Estate stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Realty Index index falling 10.06 points or 0.42% at 2407.63 at 13:47 IST. Among the components of the S&P BSE Realty Index index, Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd (down 1.69%), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd (down 1.47%),Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd (down 1.29%),Phoenix Mills Ltd (down 1.19%),Godrej Properties Ltd (down 1.13%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were DLF Ltd (down 0.69%), and Sunteck Realty Ltd (down 0.4%). On the other hand, Sobha Ltd (up 5.93%), Oberoi Realty Ltd (up 1.64%), and Brigade Enterprises Ltd (up 0.97%) moved up.
At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 30.21 or 0.06% at 47582.87.
Real Estate stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Realty Index index rising 2.21 points or 0.09% at 2419.9 at 09:47 IST. Among the components of the S&P BSE Realty Index index, Brigade Enterprises Ltd (up 1.89%), Phoenix Mills Ltd (up 0.85%), Godrej Properties Ltd (up 0.59%), Sobha Ltd (up 0.55%), Oberoi Realty Ltd (up 0.21%), and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd (up 0.15%), were the top gainers. On the other hand, Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd (down 0.98%), DLF Ltd (down 0.67%), and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd (down 0.63%) moved lower.
At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 32.15 or 0.07% at 47580.93.
The Nifty 50 index was down 5.3 points or 0.04% at 13927.3.
Real Estate stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Realty Index index rising 58.88 points or 2.49% at 2419.69 at 09:47 IST. Among the components of the S&P BSE Realty Index index, Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd (up 4.93%), Godrej Properties Ltd (up 3.81%),DLF Ltd (up 3.43%),Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd (up 3.04%),Brigade Enterprises Ltd (up 2.59%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Sobha Ltd (up 2.38%), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd (up 1.85%), Oberoi Realty Ltd (up 1.12%), and Sunteck Realty Ltd (up 0.14%). On the other hand, Phoenix Mills Ltd (down 0.46%), moved lower.
At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 284.11 or 0.6% at 47257.65.
