On February 25, the Brest Regional Court pronounced the sentence in a criminal case, where the accused were Aliaksandr Kardzyukou and his friend Henadz Shutau, who died of a fatal wound. As a result, the late Shutau was found guilty without sentencing, and Kardzyukou, who witnessed a shot at his friend on August 11, was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment in a reinforced-security colony. Special forces soldiers Raman Haurylau and Arsen Halitsyn were the victims at the trial. During the trial, it turned out that it was Haurylau who fired that fatal shot at 44-year-old Shutau on August 11, from which he died eight days later.
