The Austin job cuts will be effective May 31, according to documents filed with the state.
Fresenius Health Partners didn t provide a specific reason for the local job cuts in its recent WARN letter to the Texas Workforce Commission, saying only that it has decided to reduce its operations at its facility located at 3711 S. MoPac Expressway. The office won t be closed entirely, the letter said.
A representative of the company couldn t immediately be reached for comment Friday.
A WARN letter, which stands for Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, is a federally mandated notice that employers must provide to state governments in the event of major layoffs.
