Todd McKenna Special to The Journal-Standard FREEPORT When individuals with disabilities in Stephenson County need help, they often turn to RAMP, which can serve as a one-stop shop for resources they need.  Founded in 1978, the service agency has been available to help disabled people of all ages live on their own as much as possible. We want to encourage people to reach their full potential  basically whatever that person wants to do  and help them maintain an independent lifestyle, said Autumn Kubatzke, Stephenson County manager for RAMP.  The agency, located at 2155 W. Galena Ave., has information on a wealth of programs and services available to local disabled residents. The agency can be reached at 815-233-1128. Many adults along with parents with disabled children are unaware of the vast majority of resources RAMP officials have access to and can be passed along without any charge.
