(RNS) Shirley Hill is used to needles. A diabetic, she pricks herself twice a day with an insulin pen. Still, she was a little nervous when she rolled up her sleeve for the Moderna vaccine on Wednesday (Feb. 17).

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Fort Care has once again teamed up with five local churches for an Honor Package Grocery Giveaway for the local community. Volunteers will be distributing two semi-truckloads of free food in a drive-thru food distribution event, Monday February 1.
The food distribution will take place at First Assembly of God Church at 1186 Fort Campbell Blvd. in Clarksville from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Other churches contributing to the food distribution include New Way Community Church of God in Christ, House of Praise Church of God in Christ, House of God Church, and Kingdom Living Outreach Ministries.

McDONOUGH â Family, friends and brothers in blue bid farewell to Sheriffâs Deputy Nicholas Howell Friday in a wreath laying ceremony, followed by funeral services on Saturday.
Howell, 36, died on Jan. 3 from complications of Covid-19. He leaves behind his wife, Jasma, and six children.
Sheriff Reginald Scandrett described Howell as âtremendousâ and always a âhumble man and peaceful guy.â
âWe will never forget what our brother has sacrificed,â he said.
Pastor TJ McBride of Tabernacle of Praise Church said that while all will miss him on earth, Howell has made his entrance into the Heavenly Gates to be with the Lord.
