The First Lady of Edo State Her Excellency Betsy Obaseki has presented gifts to children born on New Year day across the 18 Local Government Areas of Edo State, IgbereTV reports.
Her Excellency Betsy Obaseki made the presentation on the 1st of January 2021 to the Management of the Hospitals and Primary Health Care Centers across the 18 Local Government Areas through the Chairpersons of the Local Government Councils.
Her Excellency who opted for this mode of distribution due to the resurgence of Covid19 pandemic in the country, was determined in ensuring that children born on New Year day in the rural and urban areas of the State, do not miss out of the annual gesture.

The Federal Capital Territory Reform Coordination and Service Improvement (RC&SI) Department, on Monday, released its 2021 work plan aimed at improving efficiency and transparency of Public Service Administration.
The 2021 work plan, according to a statement authorized by its acting Director, Dr Jumai Ahmadu, and made available to newsmen in Abuja, the department would embark on the domestication of Federal Government e-Government Master Plan in the FCT Administration in the month of January 2021.
She said the purpose and rationale of the project were not only to strengthen the efficiency and transparency of Public Service Administration but also for proper alignment of automation and digitization of FCTA activities with National e-Government Master Plan.

The Lagos State government has inaugurated the second phase of Mother, Infant and Child (M.I.C.H) program across wards in the state.
The scheme is to provide nutritional foods and supplements for over 1000 expectant mothers from their second trimester to delivery stage.
The intervention was first planned by the First Lady Dr. (Mrs.) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu on July 28, 2020, at Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Government Area and has been taken to 11 local government including Ikorodu, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Eti-Osa and others.
This plan is being supported by private and public agencies, such as Ministry of Agric, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Woman Affairs and others.

The scheme, according to a statement on Tuesday would provide nutritional foods and supplements for over 1000 expectant mothers from their second trimester to delivery stage.
The wife of the governor, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, who was represented at the inauguration of the initiative by the special adviser to the Lagos State governor on civic engagement, Ms. Aderemi Adebowale, said the second edition of the M.I.C.H birthed through the commitment of the governor to reduce the death rate among mothers and children in the state.
