At the site of the second phase of Vinh Tuy Bridge, excavators are in full capacity and actively speeding up work to meet the construction timeline, which is scheduled to be put into operation in 2022.
It is the first bridge in Hanoi to begin construction this year as part of 10 major crossings of the Red River in the cityâs new transport development plan by 2030, with a vision towards 2050 and approved by the prime minister five years ago.

The National Assembly (NA) last Monday elected Vietnamâs new prime minister and new state president. The NA passed a resolution appointing Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc as the state president, and another resolution on assigning Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the Central Organisation Commission, to be the prime minister, both for the 2021-2025 tenure.
After the ballot, the new leaders took the oath of office, vowing to âbe completely faithful to the country, people, and the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnamâ.
