The U.S. has made no decision on imposing tariffs on Vietnamese goods regarding the recent allegation of currency manipulation, a Vietnamese minister says.
The office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) is still in the process of investigating and evaluating all opinions regarding Vietnam’s monetary policy and has not made a final decision on whether or not to impose tariffs, according to a statement issued Friday by Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade.

In the 2016-2020 period, the
Ministry of Education and Training sent many
delegations of Vietnamese students to participate in the competitions,
garnering 170 awards, including: 54 gold medals, 68 silver medals, 40 bronze
medals, and eight certificates of merit.

At the ceremony to break ground on the National Innovation Centre (NIC) and open the Vietnam International Innovation Expo today (January 9), Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc highlighted the role of innovation in the productivity, growth, and competitiveness of the country over the last 20 years. He lauded innovation as a key to the success of the socioeconomic development strategies of all countries and territories.
Vietnam has set the target to become an industrial country and improve peopleâs income by 2025, the 50th anniversary of the National Reunification Day. By 2030, the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Communist Party, Vietnam aims to be a developing country with modern industry and the status of an upper-middle-income country.
