Jamia Millia Islamia(JMI) on Wednesday, March 03, 2021, made special arrangements at the Vice Chancellor s office for teachers and officers of the university to attend a webinar on Harnessing education, Research and Skill Development for Atmánirbhar Bharat organised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
JMI Vice-Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar, Registrar Dr Nazim Husain-Al Jafri, teachers and officers of the university watched the live streaming of the inaugural address by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, valedictory address by the Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal and other sessions of the webinar.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated ‘Maritime India Summit 2021’ through video conferencing. Minister of Transport of Denmark Mr Benny Englebrecht, Chief Ministers of Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh, Union Ministers Shri Dharmentdra Pradhan and Shri Mansukh Mandaviya were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister invited the world to come to India and be a part of India’s growth trajectory. India is very serious about growing in the maritime sector and emerging as a leading Blue Economy of the world. Through the focus areas of upgradation of infrastructure, boosting reform journey, India aims to strengthen the vision of Aatamnirbhar Bharat, he said.
