AMMAN His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday directed the government to reopen schools and various sectors in a systematic manner that safeguards public health and the national economy.
Chairing a National Policies Council (NPC) meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein, King Abdullah stressed that public health has been the top priority since the outbreak of COVID-19, noting recent improvements in the epidemiological situation, according to a Royal Court statement.

No confirmed deaths among vaccine recipients: Hawari
Sunday, the Head of the National Center for Epidemics Firas Al-Hawari told Roya that around 150,000 doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine arrived in Jordan last night.
Hawari said that 20 million people around the world have received the Sinopharm vaccine, noting that most of its side effects are similar to the other vaccines. He added that there have been no confirmed deaths of vaccine recipients.
He also said that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is 94 percent effective and takes a period of two or three weeks to develop antibodies, while the Sinopharm is 84 percent effective and needs 42 days to develop antibodies.
